This post is about the thing I said I'd never do — the one thing I insisted the blog was never about.
If it upsets you that I'm doing it, might I suggest that you take out your anger in a constructive manner? Maybe by making waffles?
Everybody loves waffles.
I've asked chefs, bloggers and friends for their waffle recipes and I'm presenting them here. I'll also share my favorite waffle recipe. (That, by the way, is the answer to the No. 1 question I've received since I started this blog.)
If you somehow still don't have a waffle iron, you can, of course, pick one up here. (Oh, and bookmark this Amazon link and use it whenever you shop on Amazon. Thanks.)
Remember, apart from the following links, you can find an index of all the blog's recipes on the righthand side of the page by scrolling down.
Here are the waffles:
- Gale's chocolate waffles
- Kathy's bacon waffles
- Allie's pantry waffles
- Caroline's and Megan's Belgian-stlye Liege waffles
- My overnight waffles

Thank you to the chefs who let me into their kitchens — and even their homes — for this blog. To Lauren, Kathy, Matt, Gale, Allie, Rob, Kim, Jason, Janine, Dimitri and Sandra, thank you again.
With this blog over, I'm taking some time off to wait for the next idea.
Now, there's a chance that idea will never come. And there's an even better chance that if an idea does come, you won't like it.
But you might.
So if you want to find out about anything that might come after this, you can sign up for email notification of any new projects, keep the blog in your RSS feed, follow Waffleizer on Twitter, or Facebook the blog.
When you start a project like this, you hope it finds the audience it deserves. Waffleizer did and I'm grateful. Thanks very much to everyone who's come along for the ride.
It's been a lot of fun for me.
I hope you enjoyed it, too.

Thanks for the fun! One of these days I'll finallly waffle something other than waffles.

Sad :(
Without this blog, I never would have started waffling panini for lunch.
Thanks for the smiles, and best of luck with your future projects!

farewell and thanks for all the ... waffles.
but wow i looked at all the recipes in this post and ... wow, does no one fluff the egg whites first? is that like a weird thing that only my family does?

Hi, Daniel. I have enjoyed all your waffling and guess I'll deal with the fact that you've made up your mind to move on and not waffle anymore...a sad day but I'll get out one of my waffle-irons to hold a wake.
Thanks and good luck,
Dan

And now we come to the end. It's been a good run Mister. Very very fun now let's start thinking about the next ridiculous project :)

I haven't commented at all during this project, but had to say how much I enjoyed it. My family and I tried many of your ideas. It was a wonderful project for the summer while it was too hot to use the oven. Our eyes have been opened to the many uses of our waffle iron. Thanks! The pizza was great; chicken too. Now we don't have to heat up the house in summer for chocolate chip cookies - only to have to run the air forever to cool it back down. Now we can mix up dough and have a few cookies a day - quickly and easily. Now we can be creative and thinking outside the box (or waffle batter) for our own ideas. Thanks! We've loved it and made family memories.

I love your blog! So creative and the photos are drool-worthy. I can't wait to get a waffle iron and get wafflin'. It *is* sad that it's come to an end, but I'd like to think of it as a perfectly timed farewell. You know, go out strong and all that shit.

I'm glad you were able to write such a great blog and know when the project had run its course and it was time to bow out gracefully. I'm glad you didn't let it devolve into wafflizing kung pao shrimp or something. Thanks for the memories, and please know that you have done spectacular work here.

Your inspiration has given me a reputation amongst my friends because of my waffleizing experiments. I will miss your blog (hope you still chat with us on your FB page) but can't wait for the next appliance! Rice cooker? Coffeemaker? (I use mine to make tea, but there's got to be something more creative than that!)
Don't be a stranger...hope we "see" you soon!
