Yum! I'm guilty of not reading most food blogs, I'm just mostly amazed by the styling. It's sort of why I lump all my pictures together before writing because I think it gives people the option to do so.

I do read what you write because it's interesting to me. I'm not a waffler (I don't even have a waffle iron!) and the last waffle I ate was an eggo summer of last year. So this is all very amazing :)

I must tell you that your blog is one of the most hilarious things I have read in a long while. I ate at Mado and I loved it: the fact that they let you do what you did makes me love them even more.

I am looking forward to the next experiment.

(But please, no Martha Stewart: I bought one of her wooden spoons at Macy's the other day, my first Martha Stewart's purchase ever. And it will be my last: the spoon broke and a part fell into my soup the first time I was using it. Speaking of quality products).

i am so with you on this one!

TKS to SisBoom[Blog] for turning me on to this hilarious read! GREG

I have such a blast visiting your blog. I shared some blog adoration with you here:

Keep up the great work! : )

"I realize that nuance and the Internet have met, but they're not close."

Classic line. Love it.

Waffles, brandade and Mado: three of my very most favorite things. Making this, by far, the best blog post I've seen in a while. Thanks for a great read!

It's been too long since I've visited your website Dan. It just dawned on me that your conversation with Ali on Facebook must have been around the time that you guys were setting this up. If anyone is in Chicago I can't recommend Mado enough.

hey dan,
my name is maya and i'm the author of Bazekalim, the hebrew blog you mentioned. took me a while to find this post, huh! :)
you're totally right, i loooove pomegranates, and this vegan soup (made with just tapioca, pom juice, lemon juice, sugar and mint) is the finest way of showing it off. it's especially good for the traditional Passover meal (kind of like a fancy christmas meal, only in april), because it contains no dairy, and can be enjoyed guilt-free after a beef/poultry-heavy kosher dinner.
thanks for the link, i love your blog - it's brilliant!
BTW if you're into the pix, you can check out my FB page, where i post about my daily baking/eating adventures www.facebook.com/bazekalim

cheers
maya

Ha! You've got a beautiful blog. I'm so glad you stopped by to say something.
